I am excited about UTM firewalls. UTM firewalls are great for credit unions because they allow one to use 1 device to consolidate threat management. In today’s economy this is good for lowering the security budget and being more efficient with security spending. The areas that are not covered with UTM firewalls and that I recommend using other devices and approaches for is Email Hygene (Anti-Spam and Anti-phishing) protection and Email encryption. Both of which I will discuss shortly.
