Dell Releases New PS4000 iSCSI SAN for Medium Credit Unions

I have been working with the Equallogic platform for 2 years now. At the time they were the best iSCSI SAN vendor on the market. When Dell bought them I was initially concerned, but now I am quite pleased. Dell is serious about medium businesses (I guess that happens when you pay $1.4 billion for a company) One can get into this SAN from the high teens to high 20ks. This is big improvement from where the price points had been previously. The product is so impressively solid that it is like listening to a freight train when Dell does demonstrations of the Equallogic product The PS4000 Series addresses branch office and SMB storage needs with simplified administration, rapid deployment and an affordable price, while providing a full set of enterprise-class data protection and management features, solid performance, scalability and fault-tolerance.

In Summary iSCSI SANs are like Swiss Army knives and for a CU for the next 2 years HA on the LAN, DR, Virtualization all will need iSCSI SANs to back end a virtual infrastructure.
